The 8XL model uses the same driver components as in the original TR8 system, but features a powerful new amplifier that delivers a full 150 watts (100 woofer/50 tweeter) to each speaker. The XL also incorporates a high-performance torroid power transformer, which gives the new model superior electrical and mechanical noise characteristics.
